...I have a beloved Orvis 51A spin reel with a bent bail. The anchor plate and connector screw for the bail arm are both intact. Where can I get a new bail arm (or bail assembly if need be) or as a backup plan, can you re-form by original bail arm? (Orvis has none of these laying around on a dusty shelf...) Thanks! Jeff Marsh

Hello.. I'd try ORCA. They have a web site: old reel collectors assoc.
If not overly wowed, the bail can be re-formed.

Thanks for your reply! That reel was a 16th birthday present from my dad (along with an Orvis rod), exactly 45 years ago yesterday.

You can maybe also send Cierra a note as per the sticky top of this forum.
Orvis was not very big here in BC, so the odds are slim. ORCA's your best bet for sure. OR: http://fiberglassflyrodders.com
They do reels too.
